The Secrets of the Lily Women's Retreat is based on the words Jesus spoke when He said,
"Don't worry about your life . . . Consider the lilies and how they grow . . . they don't fuss or work at
their appearance, but have you ever seen such beauty?  Even Solomon, in all his worldly glory
and impressiveness, was not as beautiful as one of these!  If God clothes a wildflower with
incredible beauty, won't He take care to do the same with you, His child?"

The Theme:
Finding Beauty . . . as women, we strive for it all our lives.  Whether for our physical appearance,
our relationships, our homes, or our emotions, we find ourselves endlessly searching for
'something' that will make our lives more beautiful.  Trouble is, too often life buries us in ruined
plans, broken dreams, and heartbreaking losses, and anticipated beauty sinks like an
unawakened bulb, hopelessly imbedded in life's dirt.  Will we ever really find the beauty in life that
we are hoping for?

The Message:
God is at work, ALWAYS at work, cultivating incredible beauty within us . . . something good,
something unbelievably wonderful, something that sprouts from the very dirt that we lie dormant
in.  'Consider the lily,' as Jesus advised, and see what secrets to beauty might be uncovered!

The Approach:
Through inspiring stories, poignant skits, laughter, great music, and motivating workshops, the
Lily Team encourages women to 'rise from the dirt of life with radiant beauty!'

The Event:
'Secrets of the Lily' is a one day, six-hour conference for women of all ages and backgrounds -- a
day of soul-refreshing' for girlfriends!  Hosted by a sponsoring church or organization, the event is
specially designed  to bring women together in an intimate setting, and at a lower cost, with less
travel expense or time away from home incurred.  Lunch, refreshments, beverages and chocolate
(of course!) is included in the retreat price.

The History:
The entire Lily Retreat is the creation of a team of women who are themselves in the 'cultivation'
process. Our experiences mirror those of so many others:  this event is simply a way to share the
hope we have discovered with those who are 'buried' in similar settings.  All of the content of the
day is original -- including the music, the poetry, the skits, the workshops, and the program
materials -- born out of the life-situations we ourselves know well!
